What a strange world! Among the Christmas rush and delays getting all our products into the store (we don’t want to list out of stock items), we suddenly got some Dolce complete stainless steel kitchen packs – that’s an oven, cooktop, rangehood, sink and flick-mixers at half off.

I thought Ziggy’s Warehouse would become a toy and exercise equipment store. But Cool Products Served Hot applies in the Sydney renovators market. We’re a warehouse outlet. We’ve been stocking our early learning toys department. It’s just a selection of our range to start with. It’s surprising just how long it takes to select, photograph, price and weigh a toy! On top of that we have to run our usual business.

It may sound like I’m making an excuse but I think it’s a marvelous adventure. Most IT projects take longer and cost more than the customer expects so we’re having fun setting Ziggy’s Warehouse Online up.

We’ve got a fun range of The Incredibles puzzles and games in stock next week.

Based on The Incredibles a fantastic new movie from Pixar and Disney. They’re the people who made Toy Story, A Bug’s Life, Toy Story 2, Monsters Inc. and Finding Nemo. This one is rumoured to be the best Pixar movie yet.

I had a meeting this evening with one of our suppliers, wow do they look cool. The photo’s will have to wait until the shipment arrives, but hopefully it will be soon.

We got some Warp Speak electonic voice changers in for a promotion a while ago. These are a neat bull-horn shaped toy that changes your voice into a spaceman, robot or alien. They were a hit in the office and with the customers. Hundreds flew out the door and we’ve been trying to get more ever since.

Finally we we found another box – 11 in their packaging and one on it’s own.

A science teacher bought one, and now we need more warp speakers. It turns out that science is more fun with a cool toy. We’re working with our suppliers to find another batch. Hopefully they’ll be in stock for Christmas.

Our best seller this season has been the abswing.

A few months ago, Annette in our office had just received her abswing – she’d ordered it on TV. Then I wandered into the office with the ab swing verification sample. Boy was she upset. “I just paid $149.95 for my ab swing,” she cried. “And it’s identical at half price.”

Why didn’t she check with us first? I told her we are always looking at new and cool products. She knew it because she helps me find them.
